The Sacred Scripture represents the foundation of Christian life, being the primary source to know God and light on the path to salvation. Yet, the Bible has always had and still has a special role and place in the formation of priests. This study is aimed at presenting the methods used in the Catholic Seminary in Iași for the familiarization with, study and interpretation of the Holy Scripture. This presentation is preceded by an insight into the methods of use and interpretation of the Bible in the universal Church of the previous centuries. In the end, there is a brief assessment indicating the negative and positive aspects, as well as the perspectives for the future. Everything is intended for an appropriate and useful reading and interpretation of the living Word of God. Bible; Catholic Seminary; study; interpretation; Church; Christian life.
