Building our argument by drawing on data collected from BI Intel- ligence, The Financial Services Forum, Forbes, Global Futures and Foresight, Narrative Science, National Business Research Institute, Salesforce, Tractica, World Economic Forum, and Zebra Technologies, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding percentage of retailers planning to invest in artificial intelligence and IoT technologies by 2021, reasons for adopting AI (%), fastest growing market- ing technologies, technological drivers of change and time to impact on business models (share of respondents, %), the most important benefit that an AI-powered solution should provide, and AI revenue by region, world markets ($ millions).
