The benefits which arrive to men by travel are many; and first in respect of communities of of a nation in general. By this men are taught to know the way to foreign countries, to understand their productions and arts, and to exchange their own commodities, all which cannot but excite to ingenuity and industry, and purchase riches. In this chapter, the author discourses on travel in relation on individuals, and in relation to the benefit which every particular person may reap unto himself.
