Analysis of fault detection coverage of a self-test program

Analysis of fault detection coverage of a self-test program A method for determining the percent fault detection coverage of a self-test software program and a method to improve the coverage are presented. These methods are applied to analyze a self-test software program used to check the functional operation of the BDX-910 minicomputer Central Processing Unit (CPU). The results of each analysis are presented. The concepts, tools, assumptions, requirements and constructs of each method are discussed. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png ACM SIGDA Newsletter Association for Computing Machinery

Abstract

A method for determining the percent fault detection coverage of a self-test software program and a method to improve the coverage are presented. These methods are applied to analyze a self-test software program used to check the functional operation of the BDX-910 minicomputer Central Processing Unit (CPU). The results of each analysis are presented. The concepts, tools, assumptions, requirements and constructs of each method are discussed.
