Such problems arise in several real-world decision making problems such as humanitarian logistics, epidemiology, risk assessment and management, e-government, electronic commerce, and the implementation of recommender systems. The 1st International Conference on Algorithmic Decision Theory (ADT 2009) intends to be an interdisciplinary forum on: ”Uncertainty and Robustness in Decision Making ”Preferences in Reasoning and Decision ”Decision Theoretic Arti cial Intelligence ”Learning and Knowledge Extraction ADT 2009 will be held in Venice, Italy, on October 21-23, 2009. The program of the ADT 2009 conference will include invited talks, tutorials, oral presentations, and posters.
