Conference Announcement: International Conference on Algorithmic Decision Theory (ADT) Francesca Rossi University of Padova and Alexis Tsoukias CNRS and Universit´ Paris Dauphine e General Terms: Arti cial Intelligence, Social choice, Multi-agent systems Additional Key Words and Phrases: Knowledge extraction, Preferences, uncertainty The ADT conference series aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners coming from di erent elds such as Decision Theory, Discrete Mathematics, Theoretical Computer Science and Arti cial Intelligence in order to improve decision support in the presence of massive data bases, combinatorial structures, partial and/or uncertain information and distributed, possibly inter-operating decision makers. Such problems arise in several real-world decision making problems such as humanitarian logistics, epidemiology, risk assessment and management, e-government, electronic commerce, and the implementation of recommender systems. The 1st International Conference on Algorithmic Decision Theory (ADT 2009) intends to be an interdisciplinary forum on: Uncertainty and Robustness in Decision Making Preferences in Reasoning and Decision Decision Theoretic Arti cial Intelligence Learning and Knowledge Extraction ADT 2009 will be held in Venice, Italy, on October 21-23, 2009. The program of the ADT 2009 conference will include invited talks, tutorials, oral presentations, and posters. The conference proceedings will be published by Springer Verlag in the
