Expectancy theory and its application to EDP professionals: a tentative view It is the goal of this paper to make some useful inferences about the motivation of EDP professionals. This paper assumes Expectancy Theory (Vroom, 1964, Porter & Lawler, 1968; Lawler, 1971) as the basic construct for the motivation model. Abstract
