Introduction to the Special Issue on Innovations in Theoretical Computer Science 2012 - Part II 10 Introduction to the Special Issue on Innovations in Theoretical Computer Science 2012 - Part II 1. INTRODUCTION This special issue of ACM Transactions on Computation Theory contains archival versions of three papers that appeared in preliminary form in the Proceedings of the 3rd Conference on Innovations in Theoretical Computer Science (ITCS 2012), held in Cambridge, MA, January 7­10, 2012. (In addition, note that the first part of this special issue, with four other ITCS 2012 articles, appeared in ToCT Vol. 5, No. 3.) The program committee of the conference, chaired by Shafi Goldwasser, selected some of the conference papers for inclusion in special issues of ACM ToCT to represent the high quality and breadth of research presented at the conference. All of these articles were refereed according to the journal's standards. We thank the referees for their careful, thoughtful, and prompt reviews. We thank the members of the program committee for their assistance in selecting the papers that were invited to the special issue. Most of all, we thank the authors whose articles appear in this issue.
