AbstractThe scientific goal was to examine the impact of pro-environmental challenges of the future on shaping architecture aimed at children, as well as to study an educational factor within the scope of pro-environmental message implemented by means of architecture. In order to define and solve the scientific problem of the following study, the necessary research methods were applied. These included analysis and criticism of literature, observation with no intervention, case study and the intuitive method, based on the author’s personal experience. When analysing architecture in the context of future challenges, a selection was made so as to indicate issues that could exert the greatest impact on the development of facilities aimed at children. The challenges defined are as follows: greater activity of disabled people, increasing health and psychological problems among children, increasing environmental and climate changes. The architecture of the future should rise to the already defined challenges, but also be able to face the emerging new ones.
