To set goals of the estate maintenance and development, the estate management is expected not only to monitor the technical condition of the assets to undertake necessary repairs, but also to plan improvements. The author investigates the residents’ point of view on the development of a particular housing estate in Lublin using face-to-face interviews. The questions concerned accessibility, deficiencies in local amenities, the condition of the estate’s infrastructure, buildings and flats, and opinions on priorities of improvement measures.
