BOOK REVIEW Fundamentals of International Aviation Law and Policy, Benjamyn I. Scott and Andrea Trimarchi. Routledge, Oxfordshire. 2020. 1st ed. ISBN 978-1-138-58878-3 (hbk GBP 96). ISBN 978-0-429-42907-5 (ebk GBP 32.99) The book is a compilation of different chapters, each touching on a specific item of international aviation law. In its entirety it gives a good first impression of what is on the shelf and the special layout allows for easy reading. Each chapter is headed by a frame which is entitled ‘Learning Objectives’. This frame provides, in just a few lines, an outline of what will be discussed in the chapter to follow. The text is randomly illustrated with another frame entitled ‘Did You Know?’ which makes reading this book a discovery of facts and figures. Each chapter ends with a brief list of recommended literature and ‘Points for Further Research’ which serve as a reflec- tion on the policy points raised within the chapter. The book itself contains twelve chapters. Chapter 1 is on the ‘Foundations of Aviation Law’ and is of a very general nature, whilst Chapter 2 describes ‘Early Development in Aviation Law’ in some detail.
