From 30 to 35 Addax Laurillard, 1841 rings are present on lower 66-75 % of horns. Hooves are low a nd Adac e Frisch, 1775:128. Nomen nudum (Palmer 1904:78, foot­ half-m oon shaped in outline, with flat sole face. Foot gla nds are note). present on fore and hind feet (Haltenorth and Diller 1980 ). Tail is Addax Rafinesque, 1815 :74. Nomen nudum ; evidently based on cylindrical with bla ck tuft of ha ir at e nd (Dorst and Dandelot 1970 ). "th e Addax of the an cient s" vide Palmer (190 4 :78).
