Editorial This new issue of the Journal of Adult Protection brings us to our seventh volume. When we embarked on production back in 1998, we were hopeful that it would become established as the UK journal in which to publish material about adult protection and that certainly seems to be the case. This issue is a good example, with two papers from Northern Ireland, about which more will be said later. However, we are always in need of more papers to ensure that publication happens on schedule and in particular we would be pleased to receive more contributions from practitioners, either about your experiences in adult protection practice, or a more academic piece related to a course undertaken. Take this as a ‘call for papers’ to all of you out there who are budding authors! Obviously, for some people the notion of writing for a journal is rather daunting, but if you have an idea for a paper and are not sure how to proceed do get in touch with one of the editors (details on the contents page) and we will be happy to talk you through the process and to provide further advice at a later stage http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png The Journal of Adult Protection Pier Professional

Abstract

This new issue of the Journal of Adult Protection brings us to our seventh volume. Obviously, for some people the notion of writing for a journal is rather daunting, but if you have an idea for a paper and are not sure how to proceed do get in touch with one of the editors (details on the contents page) and we will be happy to talk you through the process and to provide further advice at a later stage
