It is an honor and a pleasure to be your host at the th 12 International Meeting of Psychosocial Aspects of Hereditary Cancer. Scientists and clinicians from all over the world are attending this meeting to exchange knowledge and experiences in the field of ‘psycho-onco-genetics’. Excellent keynote speakers will inform us about new developments in their specific field of interest, and clinical and research workshops are planned to enable discussions with experts and improve your skills. Topics include updates in cancer genetics and cancer prevention, breast reconstruction and nipple banking, breast cancer in men, psychosocial interventions, the patient’s perspectives, Social Events genetic communication, prenatal testing and PGD, preventive surgery, ‘telegenetics’, and uptake of prevention trials. The conference dinner on Thursday night, will be held on a boat, from which you can see beautiful Amsterdam from the canals.
