Additionally, researchers are becoming more reliant on artificialArtificialintelligenceIntelligence to make sense of their data. In contrast to scientific visualization, artificial intelligence is often opaque to the human observer. There are efforts toward explainable deep learningDeep learning, as the algorithms are not transparent in their predictions. Scientific visualization has similar goals so that one can “drill down” and get more information about the data and perhaps why the visualization is the way that it is presented.]
