[Fundamentally speaking, the question of the relation between thought and beingQuestion of the relation between thought and being (思维和存在的关系问题) is a question of the relation between the laws of thought and the laws of being; in other words, it seeks to determine whether thought and being ‘are subjectSubject (主体) to the same laws.’ Therefore, a philosophical critique of the premises underlying thought not only points toward a critique focused on the basic beliefs of the identity of thought and being, but also toward a critique of the basic logic constituting thoughtConstituting thought\constitution of thought (构成思想), i.e. the laws of thought. This concretely manifests itself as a critique of the premises of the extensional, as well as the intensional logicIntensional logic (内涵逻辑) and the practical basis of thought. To be specific, in the thought activities of humans, conceptsConcept (概念) are not merely the ‘cells’ that constitute these activities. Rather, as LeninLenin (列宁) put it, they are the ‘ladder’ and ‘scaffolding’ of understanding. The basic logic that constitutes thought includes the extensional or formal logicFormal logic (形式逻辑), which is constructed by the extension of conceptsConcept (概念); the intensional logicIntensional logic (内涵逻辑) or dialectic, constructed by the intension of conceptsConcept (概念); and the practical or life logic, constructed by the practical basis of conceptsConcept (概念). Hence, a critique focused on the basic logic that constitutes thought should mainly consist of a critique of formal, dialectical, and practical logicPractical logic (实践逻辑).]
