A Step-by-Step Guide to Conducting an Integrative Review: Dissemination of the Integrative Review [Dissemination of the integrative review is the planned process of presenting findings to a targeted audience. Approaches include peer-reviewed publications, podium, or poster presentations at conferences, social media, and news media. Integrative reviews critically analyze and synthesize diverse literature for varied audiences. Analysis of current publication practices demonstrates that confusion exists about appropriate methods to complete and disseminate the results of an integrative review. When presenting the results of an integrative review in podium, poster, or manuscript format, it is critical to clearly describe search techniques and analysis, appraisal, and synthesis methods. Space limitations in journal or poster format reduce the amount that can be included on each of these methodological features. Therefore, the focus of this chapter is on outlining strategies for disseminating the results of integrative reviews through podium presentations, posters, abstracts, and journal articles. Examples of each of these processes are included to increase understanding. Step-by-step guidelines for submitting a review manuscript for publication are discussed.
