Hoff Jr Florida Aquaculture Consultants Inc., 1996 £30.00, Paperback, pp. ix‡ 212 This book will be of considerable interest to any experienced marine aquarist, professional or hobbyist alike. In particular, it provides an invaluable source of reference material for those intending to move into the ®eld of ornamental marine ®sh culture. The author, Frank Hoff Jr, is well-quali®ed to write such a work for he has been a contributing marine biologist since 1966 when he started working for the Florida Marine Research Laboratory in St Petersburg. Here, with fellow marine biologist Martin Moe, he worked for 3 years on ®sheries taxonomy covering over 300 species. In 1969 he became head biologist for the new Aquaculture Division for the State of Florida and in 1974 was contracted to become the founder of Instant Oceans Hatcheries in Florida. In 1984 he founded Florida Aqua Farms Inc. and in 1989 established a subsidiary of Aquaculture Supply In Geneva, Switzer- land.
