[Both mitigation and adaptation to climate change are required in order to strengthen climate resilience. Although Cyprus contributes a negligible amount of emissions to global warming, it is likely to suffer considerable climate change impacts because of its location in one of the most vulnerable regions of the planet. Therefore, the formulation and implementation of a strategy on adaptation to climate change are crucial for the country.
