Total hip arthroplasty has historically shown a relatively poor survivorship in young patients, but today it is a successful treatment modality for disabling diseases affecting the hip joint. This study reports the results of 6 standard THAs in 6 patients who were under the age of 37 at the time of surgery (mean age 25.83). Average Harris Hip Score (HHS) improved from 50.5 preoperatively to 94.5. No aseptic loosening or osteolysis was observed at a mean follow-up of 2.5 years.
