[Home care concerns the management of disparate physical impairments at home of the patients. Nowadays, it is being increasingly applied as it improves both the quality of life of the patient and the quality of care. This chapter aims to provide an overview concerning the recurring issues found while identifying requirements and user’s needs for home care technologies. We present a series of reflections from the literature to clarify the main factors that may support or hinder the design of effective solutions for this domain. Indeed, the design of technologies for home care often faces several complexities, such as social, communicational and organizational challenges. The goal of this chapter is to underline the relevance of the definition of appropriate social requirements and to address the right key points of attention, in order to best manage the complexity of home care.]
