Abstract

[The complexities of World War II were extremely exposed in Yugoslavia: it manifested in several layers of conflict. Due to this complexity, the roles of many participants have not been adequately described or understood. Many historiographical works have left lacunae, especially when debating actions of units and individuals who were defeated.
