[The objective of this chapter is twofold: First, we present a methodology to evaluate the performance of LQEs regardless their type (e.g., PRR-based versus RNP or score-based, hardware-based vs. software-based). We follow this methodology to evaluate the performance of six representative and well-known LQEs in the literature.
