An approach to solving semantic inconsistency problems in critical information systems based on the generation of the fuzzy rules database and further application of the Mamdani fuzzy inference scheme is proposed. The approach is considered with the electronic library elibrary.ru taken as an example. The composition of the compared fields and form of membership functions for input linguistic variables are validated. Examples of resolving inconsistencies for making a decision on the possibility of attributing a specific publication or reference to it to a particular category (new or already available publication) are presented.
