A Brief News on the AOAC India Annual Conference ISSN Print: 2229-7928 ISSN Online: 2230-7532 NEW DELHI Park Hotel th Held at The Park Hotel in New Delhi on 11-12 November 2016, the 4 annual conference of the India Section of The Association of Official Analytical Communities (AOAC) attracted around 150 delegates and pulled together international educators, scientists, scholars, researchers, industry professionals, laboratory chemists, policy-makers, and graduate students. Overall, this two-day Conference provided a unique opportunity of knowledge sharing and professional networking in the field of analytical chemistry. The aim of this conference was to engage with various stakeholders so as to establish the India Section as the leader in food science and food safety. Keeping the broad goals of the Conference in mind, the eminent speakers (from India, South East Asia, USA, UK and Europe) explained the delegates about various facets of food analysis, food authenticity, global food safety issues and quality control regulations. This event represented governmental regulatory bodies (FSSAI, EIC, NABL, BIS, APEDA), national laboratories (e.g. CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, National Referral Laboratory, ICAR-NRC Grapes, ICAR-NDRI, etc.), food industries, leading commercial food testing laboratories, educational institutes, scientific and industrial organizations along with the representatives from the technical patrons.
