In the face of this, we could be surprised that we have not by now re­ volutionized our community Rnd our individual living if we did not realise the paucity of the average training given, and of the candidates forthcoming. Neither numbers nor quality nor tLne are on our side. Let us face it. We are short of the right people, we have not so far attained the quality of work or of worker - nor indeed of university staff or supervisor, needed - and the world crashes for want of sufficient social acumen, udequate social education and understanding of what it is th::,i t enables men to live together successfully and at peace in the family, in busine'ss, industry or in the nations of the world.
