Abstract
Global declines in chondrichthyan populations necessitate evidence‑based planning for their conservation. False Bay, in south‑west South Africa, has a high diversity of marine biota, with Atlantic and Indian Ocean influences, but its chondrichthyan fauna is poorly described ecologically.
