Chapter three covers ‘Baptists and Others’, addressing the distinctive place of the Baptist family in the wider Christian Church, with a particular emphasis on its expression in Canada. Chapters four to six focus on ‘Church Member- ship’, Church Ordinances (Baptism and Communion) and ‘Church Governance and Issues of Authority’. Chapter seven addresses the subject of ‘Religious Liberty’, with a final chapter on ‘Baptists and the Future’. This last chapter covers the increasingly mar- ginal place of Christian Churches in Canadian public life, together with a brief reference to the place of women in Baptist ministry and the impact of technology in the worship and witness of local congregations.
