Contribution a L'étude des Neuroleon [Planipennes, Myrmeleontidae] de la Faune de France SUMMARY J. R. Steffan: Taxonomical and Ecological Study on the Neuroleon from France [Plan. Myrmeleontidae]. This paper is devoted to the five species of Neuroleon Nav, which are found in France, especially along the Mediterranean coast. A number of taxonomical characters are given regarding these little known Ant-lions, with some details on their geographical distribution and the ecology of the preimaginal stages. A key is provided for identification of both adults and larvae. Changes in rank and new synonymy include Neuroleon Nav. (= Ganussa Nav. = Afroclimacius Nav.), N. leptaleus (Nav.) (= N. algericus Nav.), N. distichus (Nav.) (= Nelees propinquus Nav. = Nel. noxius Nav. = Nel. imbecillus E. B.), N. egenus (Nav.) (= Myrmeleon sticticus Nav. = Nel. cyprius Nav.). http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Annales de la Société entomologique de France (N S ) Taylor & Francis
