Genera Syntomacris Walker, 1870 and Pseudococama, nov. The genus Syntomacris is remarkable by its structural uniformity as well as for its chromatic diversity. The genitalia have been studied in 4 newly described species from Colombia and the French Guiana; they show a considerable range of interspecific variation. A key for identification of the known species is given and a new genus (Pseudococama) is described. Both genera are close and strictly Amazonian in distribution; they include neatly thamnophilus species which are very abundant in the forest, on bushes of the outskirts, in the small glades and on the regrowth of copse wood. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Annales de la Société entomologique de France (N S ) Taylor & Francis
