Contribution XI Bio-Taxonomie de Blaesoxipha Litoralis Villeneuve, 1911 [Diptera, Sarcophagidae]

Contribution XI Bio-Taxonomie de Blaesoxipha Litoralis Villeneuve, 1911 [Diptera, Sarcophagidae] Summary Léonide J. & Léonide J.-C. — Contribution XI - Bio-taxonomy of Blaesoxipha litoralis Villeneuve, 1911 (Diptera, Sarcophagidae). Our contribution XI refers to the bio-taxonomic study of Blaesoxipha litoralis Vill. (Diptera, Sarcophagidae), a parasite of Orthoptera. After detailed description of the general morphology and of the terminalia of the adults, special attention is payed to the morphology of the first-stage larva which offers good taxonomic characters. The problems of nomenclature and synonymies are examined. The last part refers to field and laboratory observations of the principal characteristics of the life history: ecology, seasonal occurence, distribution, specificity, larvi-position, larval development. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Annales de la Société entomologique de France (N S ) Taylor & Francis
