Deux Macrosiphum Nouveaux d'Europe [Hom. Aphididae]

Deux Macrosiphum Nouveaux d'Europe [Hom. Aphididae] Summary F. Leclant: Two new european Macrosiphum [Hom. Aphididae]. The different morphs (fundatrix, apterous and alate viviparous females, alate male and oviparous female) of two new species of Macrosiphum, Pass, are described. The first, M. holmani lives on Sanicula europaea in Corsica and in Czechoslovakia (Bohemia or.). This species is very closed to M. euphorbiae Thomas but the number of caudal hairs is lower and the cauda blunter than in euphorbiae. Besides the hairs on the antennae are longer and more numerous and the apical rostrum joint is a little longer than 2nd joint of hind tarsi. The second one, M. doronicicola, lives in southern France on Doronicum austriacum. It differs from other Macrosiphum by the very long and hairy last rostral segment (with 12-17 hairs besides the apical one and 1, 05 to 1,38 times longer than 2nd article of hind tarsi) and by the presence of very few hairs on the anterior part of the subgenital plate. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Annales de la Société entomologique de France (N S ) Taylor & Francis
