Summary The Acridid expeditions of the national History Museum in the Neotropical region and Dr. G. A. Seabra's collected material (Rio de Janeiro) allowed us to gather more than 10,000 exemplaries of dendrophilous Acridoidea for the first time. We selected the most remarkable forms owing to their geographical distribution or their taxonomic position in order to do this study. Twenty two genera and 43 species for a great part dendrophilous are described. Their affinities are talked about and the diagnosis accompanied by biological notes. We count among these new forms 11 amazonian genera, 8 from the Atlantic forest, 2 from the cerrado and from the caatinga and 1 from the septentrional Andies. The text gathers 374 illustrations.
