Early Trends in Feminist Therapy Theory and Practice
Abstract
SUMMARY This article looks at some of the early writers in the feminist therapy movement, pre-1985. It highlights contributions of each as well as pointing out some of the internal debates between the women whose work is covered. It focuses on the diversity of contributions, the compelling political roots of the practice and unresolved questions. It concludes by raising points for consideration, which emerge from the consensual positions of these writers.
