Implications of Worldviews for Social Work Education

Implications of Worldviews for Social Work Education The underlying assumption that the epistemology of worldviews has implications for social work education and practice is that worldviews will inevitably influence perceptions in problem-definition and problem-resolution. This article reports on the epistemology of worldviews identified by clients and social workers in a research project in Singapore. The data confirms that a discrepancy in the epistemology of worldviews exists between the two groups of respondents. Some implications of this discrepancy for social work education and practice are raised for consideration. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Asia Pacific Journal of Social Work and Development Taylor & Francis
