INDUSTRIAL PARK DEVELOPMENT POLICY AND PLANNING IN KOREA Abstract The purposes of this paper are: 1) to overview the industrial location patterns during the 1960s—1980s in Korea, 2) to discuss the changes of industrial location policies, and 3) to analyze the industrial land demand forecasting and the industrial land supply plan. To this end, a brief historical background with respect to the development of industrial parks is reviewed. In order to disperse population and industries concentrated in the Capital Region, several industrial location policies which were taken by the government are introduced.
