Abstract
SUMMARY Monthly samples concerning Carabids have been made up, in the year 1965, off the Lamto savanna (Ivory Coast). Three parcels have been compared together, the first one not burnt up by bush fire, the second one burnt up early in January, the last one burnt up late in April. Factorial analysis, according to Hotelling's method, has pointed out that the first two factors, which extract 40,8% of the total variance, are closely linked to fire action and to the season at which the fire is set on.
