Les Moustiques des Nepenthes de Madagascar. Espèces Nouvelles du Genre Uranotaenia. (Diptera,... Summary The author studies the mosquitoes of the genus Uranolaenia Lynch Arrib. living in the Malagasy pitcher-plants; he notes faunistic differences according to the evolution of the plant, the plants with rounded pitchers (young, or growing on poor soil) being different from the taller plants with trumpet-like pitchers. Four new species are described on the larval instars, U. bosseri, U. brunhesi, U. belkini and U. damasei; two of these have mandibles highly adapted to prédation. The origin of the Malagassy species living in Nepenthes is discussed. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Annales de la Société entomologique de France (N S ) Taylor & Francis
