The current work consists of an introduction to 6Abd al-Ghani’s collection of letters, including a careful analysis of its contents and the very first edition of the text in its original Arabic. The present collection comprises 72 letters which 6Abd al-Ghani al-Nabulusi wrote and received over a period of 29 years, from 1085/1675 until 1114/1703. The letters included in this collection were selected, compiled and titled by the author himself as Wasa8il al-tahqiq wa-rasa8il al-tawf iq (The Means of Truth- ¯ ¯ Seeking and the Letters of Providential Guidance). Akkach structures his introduction to 6Abd al-Ghani’s correspondence within three major sections. In the first section, three main topics are covered.
