Letters to the editor

Letters to the editor The Edi tot, Alfred Hospital, tt F o rum tt Prahran. Dear Sir, I should like to congratulate you on the improved format and presentation evident in the June issue of "Forum". It is in very attractive and convenient form. However, I think that this issue should cause all the social workers in Australia seriously to think. No social worker was numbered amongst the contributors The standard of the articles is extremely high and the content relevant to social work. That d~es not in itself affect the issue. One of the chief purposes of "Fortun" is to serve as a vehicle for exchange of ideas amongst social workers, an organ through which the development of Australian social work literature may be encouraged. It seems to be a reflection on our vi~our and origin- ality of thought if each issue of "Forum ~ does not include some contribution~ from our o~ members. It is an opportunity and a challenge to create a worthy professional journal. It has occurred to me that "Forum" might be an appropriate modituu for dissemination of information from the School of Social ~iork. ~:ide interest would be attract- ed by news about new developments in education http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Australian Journal of Social Work Taylor & Francis
