One Case, Many Conversations Abstract The focus of this article is discussions about a complex life situation of a school-age inner-city African American girl seen for mental health services. The discussion reflects the points of view of a doctoral intern and a faculty member. A number of individual, developmental and sociocultural issues are addressed. Some attempt to relate contextual issues to therapeutic actions is undertaken.
