Summary A detailed diagnosis is given for the genus Antlemon Loew, after examination of all the known taxa. A. malmundariensis Tollet, type species of the subgenus Antlemonopsis Toll., is a new synonym of A. brevimanum (Loew) but the subgenus is maintained on the basis of the palpal structure. The three species of Antlemon are redescribed and illustrated (head, genitalia ♂♀); lectotypes are designated for A. halidayi (Loew) and A. brevimanum (Loew). A key to the species is given, as well as some new distributional data.
