Summary J. Péricart: Systematic Revision of west-palaearctic Tingidae. 1. About Agramma: discussion on species and creation of a new genus, Magmara [Hemiptere]. This paper deals with systematics of the genus Agramma, mainly for west-palaearctic representatives. After some remarks concerning brachypterism, the value of the subgeneric sections created by Wagner (1941) are discussed and finally none of them are retained. Then, on the basis of study of typical materials and other series, the status of different taxa at specific and infra-specific levels are discussed. No definitive solutions are proposed for the more puzzling groups of species, i.e. the laetum-complex and femorale-complex, although two status are suggested as acceptable. On the other hand, the following nomenclatorial changes are proposed: Agramma umbrosum (Horv.) is a new synonym of dubium (Horv.) which is reduced to a subsp. of nigrum (Fieber); Agramma gracilicorne Wagner is a new synonym of ruficorne (Germar); Agramma alticeps Wagner, described from Israel some years ago, is raised to the rank of a new genus, Magmara. A number of lectotypes are designated in that paper.
