Summary J. Péricart: Systematic Revision of west-palaearctic Tingidae. 2. The genus Campylosteira [Hemiptera]. This paper is a preliminary review of the west-palaearctic representatives of the genus Campylosteira. All the taxa described up to now from this part of tho World are discussed, on the basis of original descriptions, examination of typical materials, and other series. A number of synonymies are proposed. Campylosteira sinuata Fieber is a new synonym of verna Fallén and presumably C. folleni Fieber is another synonym of the same. Campylosteira libanoticc Horvath is a new synonym of C. pilicornis Horvath. C. pilifera Reuter is a new synonym of ciliata Fieber. C. dispor Horvath and presumably C. sororcula Horvath are new synonyms of C. perithrix Puton. On the other and, Campylosteira suspecta Horvath is considered as a distinct species, instead of a variety of orientalis Horvath. This paper also discusses the problem of the type-species of the genus Campylosteira, submitted by the author to the I.C.Z.N. A number of lectotype ans paralectotype designations are given in the course of the work.
