Summary The pigmy mangold beetles have three ways of moving about, according to temperature and season: 1° They walk on the ground from the beginning of January until the end of December, if temperature reaches at least 4 °C and if the relative humidity of the air is high enough. 2° They take short diurnal flights from the beginning of May until the middle of June, when temperature is above 12 °C in case of sunny weather and above 14 °C in case of cloudy weather. 3° Crepuscular flights take place between the middle of May and the beginning of August, when temperature reaches at least 18 °C at 20h-30 G.M.T. and when the wind is low.
