Summary In this 3rd part of “scarabaeoidea of French West-Indies”, the authors dealt with Dynastinae and Cetoniinae subfamilies. Five Cyclocephala are present in the islands. C. immaculata OL. is a guadeloupean taxon; the american populations of “immaculata” Auct. (nec olivier) being not the same species, the casey name “tenuicutis” has been restored. Various synonymies are recognized. Dyscinetus (one species), Chalepides (one species), Ligyrus (2 species) didn't get a lot of taxonomic problems. Two Strategus are present and one Dynastes species. Guadeloupean and dominican populations of hercules are considered as the nominative subspecies (Lectotype designation of D. h. hercules pointed out by the authors; housed in bmnh); martinican examined specimens constitute probably, a new subspecies. Two Phileurus are present. Only one endemic subspecies of Cetoniinae is present in Guadeloupe. From a biogeographic point of vue, the authors think the Lesser Antilles are oceanic islands. The Scarabaeid fauna is a remnant of immigrants, their ancestors originating mainly in the South, South-West.
