Summary The ovipositor of Thanasimus dubius possesses four types of sensory receptors. Non-porous trichoid sensilla, porous trichoid sensilla and porous, grooved, basiconic sensilla are situated on the apex of the styli. Non-porous trichoid sensilla are located in the distal region of each coxite and on the outer lateral area of each coxite there is a group of eleven, porous, smooth, basiconic sensilla.
