AbstractFour simple, accurate and precise stability-indicating spectrophotometric methods were developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of cefoxitin sodium in presence of its alkaliinduced degradation product without prior separation namely; Q-analysis, absorbance subtraction, absorbance ratio, and amplitude modulation. These methods were validated for accuracy and precision. The four proposed methods were successfully applied for the determination of the cited drug in pure form and in pharmaceutical preparation also in the presence of its alkaline degradation product. The obtained results were statistically compared with those of a reported method.
