Summary Three species of Apanteles — A. flavipes (Cameron, 1891), A. sesamiae Cameron, 1906 and A. chilonis Matsumura, 1912 — are studied by the authors, principally by scanning electronic microscope and compared to A. glomeratus L. As a supplement to a recent bibliographical review on the utilization of Hymenoptera in biological pest control, new morphological characters are given and discussed allowing to separate the three species.
