Abstract Five species of the genus Dasyhelea Kieffer are known to breed in the pitchers of Nepenthes in Southeast Asia. All stages of D. ampullariae Macfie, D. nepenthieola n. sp., and D. biseriata n. sp. are described and illustrated. These three species occur in Malaysia and biological notes are given by the junior author for the first two species which he observed in Penang. Comparative notes are given for D. confinis (Johannsen) from Sumatra and D. subgrata Tokunaga from West Irian. Keys are given for the identification of all stages.
