Abstract
It seems to me that attending a conference is a very personal experience. I well recall that as I travelled back from Tasmania by the Empress of Australia and left the Elysium that is Hobart and thought of the rat race to which I would be returning, I wondered if I did not want to turn around, as soon as I arrived at Balmain, and go back to Hobart. A conference in this kind of setting spreads an umbrella of euphoria over you and everything is very unreal. You see and hear only those things...
